Hi all!
I just wanted to apologise for my silence and say (free) newsletters shall resume this month. However, should you fancy upgrading to the paid plan, there are three paywalled pieces ready for you now:
Dora Maar and Meret Oppenheim’s Embodying Art.
A quick and short January round-up.
Spellbound: Women Artists, Surrealism, and Hollywood.
I’m using the paywall to try out ideas that are part of something larger, or not quite fully-formed. But then again, I always feel everything I write is somewhat incomplete and could be bigger, lead to something else, etc. It’s one of the reasons why I take so long churning these things out (the perils of self-editing), but then again this may help alleviate the pressure. Or add to it.
Obviously you are of course no obligation to subscribe, but thought I would let you know. My posts, free and paid, can be accessed on Ko-Fi, too — it’s just a matter of what you prefer doing, if you already use Ko-Fi, etc. I love to make things confusing for myself. But Ko-Fi is also great for tips/if you want to buy me a coffee.
I am also thinking of changing the title of this newsletter to something less long-winded and verbose. Or I could be lazy and leave it alone.
Thanks, as always, for reading! More from me soon.
